History ----------- The Ranelagh Grove Cricket Club was formed as a merger between the Grove and Ranelagh Cricket Clubs in 1973. Since that time, it has proved itself to be one of the most successful clubs playing within the Huon Cricket Association, with many successes at Club and Association level. The Ranelagh Cricket Club has provided many players into the Tasmanian Cricket Association roster, with names like Harriss, Roberts, Stevenson and Whickam all moving on to play in the highest grade of cricket in Tasmania short of state selection. The Ranelagh Grove Cricket Club created Huon Cricket history on 30th March, 1985, when in posted the highest batting total in Association history - 708 - in the C Grade Final (they went on to win the flag by 603 runs). The Huon and Channel Cricket Association's merged in 2004, creating an expanded competition. The Ranelagh Grove Cricket Club has since expanded, and entered a third grade side into the HCCA for the first time in four years. The Club now fields 3 senior sides (A, B, and C) and three underage sides (Under 15's, and two Under 13's)
