Under 14 Girls – Round 4

The North Huon Under 14 girls had the opportunity to bring womens cricket to their other home ground at Glen Huon tonight (Tuesday), showcasing the side to the Glen Huon community and taking on Kettering.

WIth injury and a late withdrawal meaning 5 of the girls were available, they took to the field first, and held Kettering to 110, whilst taking 7 wickets.

Shania Ford was the stand out in the field, bowling really well taking 4-27 and taking a good catch.

In reply, North Huon were able to put together 5- 85 from their allotted overs. New recruit Mia Thorpe also impressed in her first game, top scoring with 16. With bonus runs for wickets, Kettering finished with 130, and North Huon on 113.

The girls head to Mt Nelson next week to take on University, and training will again be on at 11:30am at Ranelagh nets on Saturday.
