After an extended break over January, the North Huon Cricket Club Under 14 Girls were able to hit the track again tonight (Tuesday), taking on Kettering at Ranelagh.
Maya Bligh kicked things off without missing a beat, top scoring with 33, whilst all batters batted solidly, with only 2 dismissals being recorded.
Things were a little rusty with the ball, with the limited training showing, however Maddie Chapman and Maya both getting wickets, Maya also getting a run out.
North Huon’s total of 104 wasnt quite enough to get past Kettering’s total of 126, however the girls will be better to get back into the swing of things, and will look forward to their next hit out against University at Ranelagh.
Training will be held Saturdays at Ranelagh at 11:30am – any interested players are welcome to come along and have a go!
