C1 Grade bowed out of their finals race on Sunday, going down by 8 runs in a low scoring game at Ranelagh.
After the Southern Tigers won the toss and batted, they were soon in early trouble through Tim Thorpe and Will Quarrier, falling to 3-8 in quick time.
Thorpe, Jason Nichols, James Oates and Dyaln Geeves all continued in the same vein, with a great bowling performance seeing the Tigers bowled out for 70 in 24.3 overs.
Thorpe finished with 4-26, Quarrier 2-16, Nichols 2-17 Oates 1-6 and Geeves 1-4.
In reply, the Warriors had no answer to the Tigers bowlers, slumping to 6-11 before Tim Thorpe offered some resistance.
Thorpe lost Mick Anning with the score on 24, but found an ally in James Oates, who together pushed the score to 62 before a hat trick ended the season for the c1 side, leaving Thorpe stranded on 39 not out.
Whilst a disappointing end, full credit to all of those that have helped out through the year.
