NORTH HUON WARRIORS
STAGE 1 YELLOW
North Huon Yellow finished off the year with a great performance against the Kingborough Knights, and showed how much they have improved throughout the year.
Batting first, North Huon were able to score 6-90 off the bat, thanks to a good all round performance.
Despite some tight running, resulting in a couple of run outs, the boys stuck to their guns and took their chances.
Zach Darke was fantastic, top scoring with 24, and had help from other healthy contributors, Jack Batchelor (18), Max Kull (14), Sam Clark (12) and Joey Shotgun Cartridge (10).
When it came to bowling, Alex Leaman and Lucas Raine both bowled exceptional spells, and deserved more wickets than the one each that they came away with.
Along with a run out, the side only took the three wickets, but held the Knight to 121 in a great display.
This game wraps up the first season for a young Stage 1 side, who have done a great job against some (at times) much older and stronger opposition.
Full credit to the group for their dedication and improvement.
