NORTH HUON WARRIORS
STAGE 1 YELLOW
North Huon Yellow hosted Margate at Ranelagh in unseasonably warm conditions on Monday.
After being asked to bowl first, Alex Leaman took the new ball, picking up a wicket first ball of the innings, but the side was a bit undisciplined early, letting a number of extras add to the tally.
Zach Darke bowled well, claiming three wickets to keep things ticking over, and Sam Clark also took a wicket.
Chasing a largish target of 158, Jack Batchelor (17) and Joey Cartridge (13) got the run chase under away in brisk fashion. Alex was in next and top scored with 21, whilst Zach backed up his bowling with 20 with the bat.
Max Kull and Sam scored 16 and 15 respectively, and Lucas Raine knocked up 18, including a great four off the last ball, to finish off a well-rounded batting performance from all the boys.
Zach took home Warrior of the Week with his all round efforts.
