The first game back after Christmas for the Under 15 girls saw a clash of the Warriors, with North Huon traveling to Eady St to take on the “other” Warriors Wellington.

Batting first, the girls put together their best performance with the bat for the year, losing only 1 wicket on their way to 108 of their 20 overs.

Most of the girls were able to find the boundary at some point, and they all kept the scoreboard ticking over regularly.

Shayla Terry top scored with 26, and Ruby Wilson and Grace Fahey also both reached double figures.

With ball in hand though it was the girls time to shine.

An amazing effort from all bowlers saw Wellington restricted to just 67, and picked up 8 wickets along the way.

Shayla was also outstanding with the ball, taking 4-8, Grace Fahey not far behind with 3-27. Gracie Ashlin was the other wicket taker

A great win for the girls, and a great reward for them, and Grace Lovell and Kim Steel for their tireless work with the side!

If you would like to be involved, you can still come along. Training is Monday night at Ranelagh, with games on Tuesdays.
