Junior registration day and official season launch

The North Huon Cricket Club will hold its official 2019/20 season launch and junior cricket registration day at the Ranelagh Clubrooms on Sunday, September 29 from noon.

With the 2019 AFL season drawing to a close after the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, September 28, it is the perfect day to usher in the cricket season, with a free barbecue for all new and returning members.

The club’s dedicated junior coordinator David Bourne will be on hand to answer any player and parent queries, and to assist with online registration, if required.

This year Cricket Australia has brought in compulsory Online Registration for all Junior Players. The following link will take you to the online registration:

Registration for juniors is $120 for the season, with Ticket to Play vouchers accepted for eligible families, and includes a club shirt and hat, and a drink bottle.

The club is also hoping to, this year, field a Girls Under 15s ($5 registration and free uniform) and an Open Age Women’s ($5 registration and free uniform) team.

The North Huon Cricket Club aims to instil into all members a sense of pride and respect, which is the primary ingredient of success, starting with its most junior members, encouraging good sportsmanship, respect for coaches and officials and a strong commitment to training, as well as a healthy and active lifestyle, including encouraging drinking water and providing complimentary fruit at all games.

All junior coaches at the club are required to have a Working with Vulnerable People check.

The club has developed a code of conduct, which is available on the club’s website at www.northhuoncc.com, and all members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the code.
