The North Huon Cricket Club Junior program rolls into full swing this week with the commencement of the Under 15 and Under 13 competitions.
The Under 15s host their first game on Friday night November from 4:30pm at Glen Huon, taking on the Southern Tigers. The side this year will be managed by Connor Robson, with assistance from Tony Watson.
The Under 13 group will have the services of senior premiership players Dean Harriss and Mitch Sullivan, in the reformed side after a couple of years break. Their season commences Wednesday, November 22, and continues on Wednesday nights from 4:30pm.
The T20 Blast program, catering for ages 7-10, is three weeks in, with this group being looked after again by a pair of senior premiership players in Lyndon Stevenson and Marcus Raine. This group is a great balance between skill development and being introduced into a competitive game environment, and is being assisted by Cricket Tasmania.
Finally, the Milo In2Cricket program has over 20 participants this year, and is a great way for 5-8 year olds to come along and have a bit of fun whilst learning the skills of the game. These sessions are held at Ranelagh on Thursday evenings from 5pm, under Tony Watson and Scott Stevenson.
The Club would like to welcome all junior participants, and if you were still looking to be involved, you are more than welcome to come along and join in.
