The North Huon Cricket Club held its annual dinner on Saturday, April 15 at the Glen Huon Hall.
President Lyndon Stevenson spoke of the investment and growth the club has put into its Junior Program to ensure viability fo the future, and praised the committee and coaching staff for the ongoing efforts they have put in throughout the year.
Whilst a low on field start saw the A Grade side in the lower half of the A Grade roster, they came back strong in the second half of the year, to take out the A2 Grade premiership. B Grade and C2 Grade reached the finals, whilst C2 was instrumental in providing the transition from Under 15s to senior cricket. The Under 15s also were successful in winning the Grand Final, whilst the Under 13s return to completion.
The night culminated in the Rodney Banfield Best Clubperson award being present to Denise and Tony Watson, and for services to the Glen Huon and North Huon Cricket Club’s, Tony Watson and Dean Harriss were honoured with Life Membership.
