After a long winter, the North Huon Cricket Club’s AGM has now been held, and things start to move into a more active scenario for the upcoming season.
Training is set to commence on Monday, September 3, from 6pm sharp at the High Performance Cricket Centre at Kingston, and Friday, September 7 from 6pm at the Huonville PCYC. Any new, existing or intending players are asked to attend either sessions, with each session repeated through September.
With a couple of additional players available this year, early commitment to training will go a long way towards selection for the the upcoming season commencing October 13.
The Club will again be aiming to field 4 sides in HCCA Senior competition, and will also be aiming to field its 4 juniors sides again for the upcoming season.
For the first time, the Club is aiming to field both a junior girls and open womens team. The club has engaged Cricket Tasmania coach and North Hobart womens player and coach Taylah Purton to assist with the running of this, and will be aiming to hold the first of two session on Saturday September 22 from 10am at the Ranelagh ground/clubrooms.
The Club is very excited about this prospect, and they have lined up positions in the Cricket Tas Hurricanes Youth League roster, and the the Cricket Tas Regional Open Womens Roster, but does need some commitment through the two training session to ensure we can fill these spots.
