UNDER 15’s

The North Huon Warriors Under 15 boys took on Kettering at Ranelagh Oval last Friday night in cool conditions, losing the toss and being sent in to bat.

Ollie Thomson did a great job in the opening bat position, making 15 from 23 before retiring not out, Anthony Harrison (35 not out) and Ollie Coulson (8 not out) also retired, and Phil Hale (9) and Harry Thomson (9) made handy contributions, the Warriors finishing on 3/99 after their allocated 20.

In reply, Brady Harriss (2/7 off three) and Lucas Sullivan (0/6 off two) opened with the new ball, Harriss drawing first blood on just the fourth ball of the innings, Charlie King clean bowled for two.

The wickets were falling regularly, with Jayden Fletcher (1/10), Charlie Paul (2/7), Phil Hale (1/8) and Broughton Chapman (1/5) also claiming scalps, and the Mariners were unable to get the run-rate anywhere near that required.

Kettering finished with 7/70, the Warriors home by 29 runs.
