The North Huon Cricket Club is closely following the constantly evolving COVID-19 situation.
Our key priorities are the health and safety of our members and families
Our response to the situation is guided by the latest information available from the Federal and State Governments and the World Health Organisation, and as of COB today (Thursday, 19th March), in line with guidance issued by Cricket Australia, and at the direction of the Huon Valley Council to cease activity in the clubrooms, we have taken the decision to postpone all on and off field events for the foreseeable future.
1. All club functions will be postponed until a later date.
2. As per Huon Valley Council instruction, Glen Huon and Ranelagh Clubrooms are closed for all social and sporting activities indefinitely
3. All North Huon Cricket Club members are encouraged to do what they can to slow the spread of COVID-19, including social distancing, increased hygiene measures and self-isolating if you come into contact with the virus.
When we are advised by cricket’s governing bodies, including the Huon Valley Council and Cricket Tasmania, that it is safe to do so, we will arrange to hold the B&F Vote Count, the Junior Presentation and the Senior Presentation at the Ranelagh Clubrooms.
This will also mean that cessation indefinitely of rostered Huon 8 Ball Association games scheduled to be held at the clubrooms.
Stay Safe everyone!
