The 2017-18 HCCA Cricket Season is fast approaching, and the wheels are already turning for the new season.
First off the Womens Have a Go session is being held Thursday, July 6 from 6pm at the Huonville PCYC.
This session is open to women of all ages, and is aimed to opening up the game to the women of the Huon. If you are interested, or know of someone who is, feel free to come along and try it out.
Senior coaching appointments are now being finalized, with announcements coming shortly.
Training dates have been set however, with training set for Tuesdays from 6pm commencing August 22 at the Huonville PCYC and running through until September 26, whereupon the normal Tuesday Glen Huon/Thursday Ranelagh scenario will commence.
Please make an effort to get along to these sessions, and bring any old or new members, as we will need to make a call on sides for this coming season, and this will be based on those committed at training.
The Club has also penciled in a practice match on October 7 against Spreyton at Devonport, which will be a great trip and a good hit out.
No dates have been set for underage training commencement yet, but if you want to come along to senior training you are always welcome. The club will be looking at fielding both Under 13s and Under 15s this year, and again early commitment is vital to locking in these sides.
If you are new to the area, or interested in getting involved in your community club based in the Glen Huon/Ranelagh-Grove areas, feel free to come down and get involved, whether it be in an on field or off field capacity. Any help is always appreciated!
