2017-18 Season Update

2017-18 Season Update

The new season fast approaches, and the North Huon Warriors have been busy preparing off field.

The club will hold another womens cricket session on Tuesday, September 26 from 6pm at the PCYC. All ages and skills levels are welcome to attend and register your interest. This is a great chance to kick off a womens cricket comp in the Huon and Channel, and the club is looking at the possibilities of both a senior side, and an Under 14 side.

The Juniors is also in full swing, with Mitch Sullivan and Dean Harriss taking on the Under 13s side this year, and Tony Watson the Under 15s. Both sides are shaping up really, and continue to train Mondays, from 4:30pm at the PCYC.

Milo Cricket and T20 Blast registration are now also open – to enroll go to www.playcricket.com.au, and search for Ranelagh or Glen Huon, and sign up today. These programs will kick off on October 29.

Seniors training continues to proceed well, with good numbers being present. However, the club is still on the cusp of having 3 sides or pushing for 4. If you are a new or returning player, but havent got along yet, please either make an appearance and register your interest, or contact Club Coach Brad Pitt on 0408 312 916.

Finally, the Club’s AGM was held recently, with a couple of new faces coming on board this year, along with some older returning Life Members, which is great to see them involved with the club.

Training will move to Tuesday at Glen Huon on October 3, and at Ranelagh on Thursdays from October 5. A practice game is still scheduled for Spreyton on Saturday, October 7, with a likely season commencement on October 14.
